This lovely neighborhood market features a beautiful mix of produce from both Puget Sound and Eastern Washington, all seasonally ripe: berries, tree fruits, heirloom tomatoes, all kinds of greens and lettuces, summer squashes, root vegetables, pole beans, purple cauliflower and dozens of other veggies, as well as a good selection of farmstead cheeses, locally produced meats and seafood, honey, preserves, and fresh cut flower bouquets. Hours and Location:
The market is now closed for winter. In 2010, the market will be open Fridays, 3-7 pm, May 28 through October 1, in the lower parking lot at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, at 67th and Phinney Ave N. The parking area next to the market is free for market shoppers, and street parking can be found in the vicinity.
Directions:
From I-5, take the 50th Street Exit (#169) and go west on 50th Street all the way to Phinney Ave N (50th ends at Phinney). Go right on to Phinney Ave N, and stay on Phinney until 67th Street. Turn right on to 67th (the large blue building of the Phinney Neighborhood Center will be on your right). The market is in the lower parking lot. Metro Bus route #5 goes to Phinney Ave N. right near the market.
