Naomi Kakiuchi is President of NuCulinary, a culinary education company with a mission of sharing food and culture to bring people together.  She is a registered dietitian, and IACP Certified Culinary Professional, and has over 20 years of experience in nutrition, teaching and consulting, catering, and marketing. An expert in Asian cuisine, Naomi founded a cooking school teaching those foodways and traditions with a balanced blend of food, history, nutrition, and fun. She is a favorite guest instructor at other Northwest schools, and also creates interactive cooking classes for teambuilding events, private parties, and corporate wellness education. Every summer, Naomi enjoys highlighting Washington’s produce, farmers, and chefs by coordinating the Chef Demonstration Program for the Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance’s seven Seattle-area markets. In 2008 the American Dietetic Association featured Naomi’s recipes in their cookbook, Cooking Healthy Across America.
